About Mr. Cummings

Picture
This would have been my 6th year at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, teaching AP US History, but I am just coaching cross country and track and field this year. This will be my second year as Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Cross Country Team at ERHS.

For the 2020-2021 school year, I will be teaching virtual US History and US History Honors to 8th graders from all across the district.

I pride myself in providing a fair, engaging, interactive course that challenges my students to think critically and examine history through multiple perspectives.

I earned my Teaching Credential from
Cal State Fullerton's School of Education, and I recently graduated from the MCAA program at Concordia University Irvine (Dec. 2020), and have a Masters Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration.

In 2012, I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the California State University San Marcos in the field of History.  I transferred to CSUSM from Fullerton Community College. I also graduated in 2008 from Esperanza High School.
